LUMA, a Hawaiian light show/theater company was started by Michael Marlin, a former Las Vegas juggler who moved to Hawaii to form a juggling collective on
The Big Island. It was there, while looking at the night sky's stars and the glowing volcanoes on the horizon, that he created an awesome light show.
On it's website, LUMA is described:
LUMA elevates the child-like pleasure of playing with lights in the dark (think glowsticks and sparklers) into a dazzling, high-tech, one-of-a-kind theatrical spectacle fun for children and parents alike. Using darkness as a canvasand light as a brush, LUMA paints dancing images that tell stories, conjure surreal worlds, and spin a visual magic.
