What: Toddlers in Motion is a learning program for toddlers 15 months to five years old. The program makes learning an adventure using children's natural curiosity and desire to move and explore. Parents Who Rock's Annual Outdoor Festival
Who: All ages.
What: Annual backyard concert with many local bands entertaining the family. 
Where: 72 High Street, corner of Cedar and High Streets in Montclair, NJ, 07042.
When: Saturday, September 11 from 12 pm - 6 pm.
Cost: Money raised will go to Youth Consultation Service, which helps to give more than 400 Essex County kids in group homes support so they can have a better chance at life. The fundraiser will help raise money to provide each child with a birthday gift card.

What: The Health Fair will include free blood pressure, hearing, vision, blood glucose, and other screenings as well as dental and cancer education. Free smoke alarms, radon test kits, and electrical safety tables will be given while supplies last and kids will receive free coloring books, face painting, educational handouts, and identification kits. For Newcomers, a meet and learn will be held with village officials and staff and information about village services.

What: The School of Rock Montclair will present a concert to benefit the Montclair Ambulance Unit (MVAU).

With the use of microscopes, they will dig deeper into the earth and all its natural wonders to study rock formations, geology, and more. With help from Erica Fisher and the Junior Naturalist Club, the Explorer's Club will grow plants and make hypotheses about them using scientific principles. The Might Be Giants Concert

Jake's Ride for Dystonia Research 2010

Who: All ages.

What: Run, walk, or ride to help raise funds for Jake's Ride for Dystonia Research 2010. After two years of fundraising, Jake's Ride has been able to reach almost $500,000 for dystonia research and research grants. Route options range from 1, 5, 10, and 20 miles with different routes for walkers and riders. Participants in the race must be at least 5 year old.

The Raccoon Club

Who: Grades 1-2.

What: With the guidance of group leader Sabina Soloway, first and second graders will do scientific investigations of the woodlands from floor to canopy then use what they find in creative ways. Children will learn about all the little critters and creatures we share our planet with. They will be able to access Hartshorn Arboretum's indoor Stone House classroom with its many animals and the outdoors classroom which includes 15 acres of woodlands, trails, vernal pool, sugar maple, and other special features.
