Today, Yogi Berra, Stephen Colbert and makeup maven Bobbi Brown all call Montclair home, but the town has a long history of celebrity residents.
Montclair is a magnet for stage and screen celebrities. The now-gone Marlboro Inn was once a stopover for the likes of Gloria Swanson, Helen Hayes, Bette Davis, Olivia de Haviland, Ed Asner, June Lockhart and Victor Mature. During the 1970s, there were reported sightings in the township of Telly Savalas, TV's lollipop-loving detective Kojak. But a number of stars have made Montclair their home, bringing a little Hollywood glamour to the township.
