Angelo's is your basic italian food. Nothing out of the ordinary in the way of variety but a solid staple. The manicotti is pretty good (pronounced Mon-a-gaut) and there pizza is decent. The low-brow decor is fine for a quick bite i wouldnt make a saturday night out of it. delivery is quick and friendly but still not my first choice.
Just had a nice hot, perfect looking pie delivered in exactly 30 min by a polite young man.
It tasted good too!
Manicotti is NOT pronounced Mon-a-gaut. That is only true of North Jersey/NY Italian-Americans who have grown up hearing generations of descendents speaking more of a dialect without really knowing the true language. Italian is phonetic and every letter and syllable is pronounced. If you don't believe me, go to Florence or Milano and try it out.
My boyfriend really enjoyed his pepperoni pizza from here last night. We've been trying them from everywhere and so far he only really likes Nauna's, but he liked Angelos now too. We do the Gencarellis $5 pie and the special from Goodfellas but there's a difference. I plan to return to order a potato pie or the pizza with baby clams.
They have a website:

Love their magherita pizza. Its made with fress mozz and its great.
My wife and I have lived in Bloomfield for almost 5 years and have used Angelo's almost exclusively for our delivery/pick-up pizzeria. Sadly, our patronage of their restaurant has now come to an end. We ordered our food for take-out on Friday night. I stopped there for pick up and parked behind 3 cars that were parked to the far left of the driveway entrance (a common practice, as the driveway is wide enough for cars to continue pulling in. As I stated, this has been a practice there for people grabbing pick up the entire time we've ordered from them).
I entered the building for pick up and while I was waiting for the short gentleman to get to me (I do not know his name, but he works the front counter and my wife and I have had an excellent rapport with him; earlier in the week we had stopped in seperately for a slice and remarked how much we enjoyed their food) While waiting, an older, white haired man nastily and loudly barked out "Who's silver car is that out there." I realized he was referring to my car and answered "It's mine, is everything o.k.?" - His response, a gruff, arrogant answer of "You're right in the middle of the f'in driveway." I was stunned, bot by his tone and content. I asked him what about the other 3 cars, at which point the short gentleman interceded "Just move it around back, Kev." -
I went outside, moved the car, walked back to the door. I would have left then, since they could have simply rung my food up and asked if I could park in the back in the future, but they wouldn't give me my food until I moved the car. I came back in and the white haired man was no longer standing there, so I told the counter man who I thought I had a good rapport with that I was upset, and wouldn't be coming in again. He became testy and I then lost my temper, telling him the entire situation was B.S. He responded that he had nicely asked me to move the car. True enough, but his interaction with me was far different than the arrogant older fella. I tried to point this out but he was having none of it, so I told him it's too bad we will never return to his establishment.
The sad part is that all he had to do was acknowledge that the old guy was rude and a jerk. The message (move your car) was never the issue, it was the presentation of the message. My wife and I have seen this old guy treat other customers with hostility, arrogance, and attitude before, but continued going because the person we always dealt with seemed to be a good guy. It amazes me that people will treat customers of their establishments in such a rude manner, especially customers who have become regulars. I would highly recommend everyone to avoid this establishment, and welcome feedback for anyone else who has had similar experiences.
One additional comment, in case it wasn't clear. The rude older man was not a customer; he was standing behind the counter, arms crossing over his chest surveying things. He was not working in any capacity besides surveying (perhaps for an opportunity to berate his customers?!)
Kevin, this comment is for you.
I'm a phone girl at Angelo's, and have been for about 2 years. I'm sure I've taken your order a multitude of times.
I would just like to apologize for the grey-haired man. He's the owner of the place, and he's a total ***hole. I honestly can't think of one person that can get along with him. The short chubby guy is his son, Charlie. Charlie can be a pain sometimes, too. Honestly, if his father wasn't there, then there wouldn't have been an issue. I am truly sorry that happened.
Phone Girl,
You seriously just made my day. I hadn't even bothered checking back since that incident, and basically I added my comments here in order to vent. It's really a shame that Charlie is too afraid of his dad to just explain that in business you really should treat your customers better. Thanks for the apology, but every other person I've dealt with there has been great, even Charlie. That's what made it so frustrating. I feel so sorry for you, if you have to put up with that guy on a regular basis. It's funny, because I live nearby and walk past the restaurant often, and I have hoped Charlie would come out and ask why he hasn't seen us, so I can let him know what's what. Seriously, you made me laugh out loud and call my wife into the room; we figured that guy was the owner and some kind of relation, because who else would allow an a**hole like that to treat everyone like crap.
