We had a graduations party there for my son, they over billed the tip by almost $50 and when I told them of the mistake, they almost acted like it was my fault. They intentionally do this, as they knew exactly what they were doing, was not an unintentional mistake, avoid this place, it will eventually go out of business for their dishonesty and food is not as good as it once was.
We finally made it to Bella Napoli. We missed it at the other location, partly because the lines were always too long to get in. We have been twice and both times I ordered the fettucini alfredo. It was so good the first time that I had to have it the second time to taste it again. OK, so that does not help with writing a restaurant comment, so I will just say that the pasta was fresh homemade, which melts in your mouth and although it is very, very rich they give you just the right sized portion so you don't over do it. My husband had chicken parmagiana and it was fine, nothing terribly special.
Needless to say, no room for dessert. Yet.
May the place burn down with the owners in it. I had my son's Communion there. We were their very first party since they moved. They were short staffed until one hour into the party. Half the pasta was cold & bland. I had 35 children and adults 5 infants on formula (not eating or drinking at the party). When it came to paying the bill Eileen the owner gave me a head count of 43. I said where do get a head count of 43???????? She said well there’s the 5 infants, I said they to young to eat solid food, and she said well the used the facilities, I said all they did is breath. And then I ask about the 3 extra adults and she said that was her head count. I told her she should sue her teachers. So after 45 minutes I gave in and paid the bill. So if you want to do a party in the area go to Bloomfield steak & seafood their real nice people.
Has anyone else noticed that something terrible has happened to Bella Napoli? I've happily eaten there for years. But when we ate there this week, only the salad was the same as it always has been. Bread, pasta, sauces, meat - none of them tasted anything like the same items we had last month. ???
We've been eating there for years. We love the new place only because we became very tired of waiting in a small narrow hallway in the old place.
There have been some changes in the quality of the food. Still very good. Shrimp fra diablo is excellent over linguine.
One note- they have changed to mandatory valet parking. This totally unnecessary and annoying, especially after the attendant stols all the coins in my console last time we were there. Valet parking should be optional.
In general I'm very happy with Bella Napoli. The help is OK and the food is very good.
However, I think the new valet-only policy is both distasteful and ridiculous, given the small size of their parking lot.
Fortunately, there's free street parking.
We were just there recently - now under new ownership. People who have been in the restuarant business for over 30 years. Staff was very nice, exceptional traditional Italian food. Sorry to hear of the former owners - now wonder why the place went under.
Though the price is reasonable and the service is wonderful, competition is inevitable in Baristaville and its vicinity, I would say... My friends love this place, but I prefer Corso 98 (much more expensive, but).
great underdog for a girls night out location...bar is nice and the staff is always down to earth a little wacky yes but down to earth none the less
Yum - i love bella napoli! now mind you, it isnt as good as when they were at the other location (down by rt 3 and pizza hut) but here's the thing: good pasta dishes, great parmigana (shrimp or chicken) -just not the eggplant (it's not fried). the fried calamari is yum yum yum - salads are awsome. These are huge portions, the staff is awesome, attentive, and engaging. The atmosphere is charming (having more to do with the building than the decor) and its not very expensive. not quite worth a wait on a fri or saturday but totally a great stop for midweek.
