This no-nonsense pizzeria is a Watchung Plaza tradition, especially apres sports. Generous, cheesy slices and fast delivery turnaround. Try the calzones.

Best pizza in town? My god. If Mr. Dino tried selling that crap in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn or Arthur Avenue in the Bronx they run him out town in a matter of minutes (literally).
In a perfect world these guys would be out on the street. Pizza so bland I want to throw it back in their faces. God, I can't stand Mr. Dino. It's such a cash cow, sitting where it is, that they could serve the worst pizza imaginable and still make money hand over fist. Which, of course, is precisely what they do.
I think their pizza is pretty good but not up to Star Tavern's by any means. However, we've always liked their Italian subs and have gotten them there since the early 1980's...
they r just mad because they lost to korea in the world cup.
Could you be able to tell me where to find the restaurant named "Dino's" BBQ And Grill in Thailand i think it's in Patong Beach. Can you help find their web site as i definitly know one exsists as i was in it the other day now it's disappeared. Can you help me out in anyway.
Thanks
Ramona
Villa > Soho > Enzo's > Tina's (RIP) > Dino's > Nauna's > Bricks > Zuchette's > Nothing
mr. dino's is the best pizza in town! They serve it hot and fresh straight from the oven.
Mr Dino's awful...
bad pizza and awful service and horrible personalities
Mr. Dino's - The definition of bland and below average!
moved to the area a little while ago. some crazy person said this is the mainstay of watchung plaza.
it's HORRIBLE!!! :....(
don't even try to eat this garbage. try villa victoria instead. i bet they have better pizza in alaska or moscow.
I actually stopped in to get a slice on my way home from the train. I got a slice of sicilian to go and it was yummy. oh and an order of garlic knots - super yummy too. HOWEVER, I noticed that the guy who helped me got yelled at for leaving his spot by someone who looked to be his dad? I am guess dino? Other than that, I grabbed a menu and look forward to trying something different from there.
The pizza is pretty lame, but the main reason I try to avoid this place is that the two metally incapicated jerks who run the place. They are extremely nasty to the younger guys who work there and utter contemptous of most of their customers. The guy who runs the place is a complete blowhard jerk, one of those know it alls who is one of the smartest people in the world, knows everything, yet for some reason is waiting on other people for a living. There are a lot of nice people in Watchung Plaza and elsewhere who deserve your money. Not these idiots.
I'm surprised by so many who dislike Dino's. I think it's pretty good, and the closest thing to a decent NYC hole-in-the-wall pizzeria that I've been able to find. I like Brick's, too, but it's a different kind of pie, very thin crust that's often too weak to support the tasty and abundant runny cheese and tomato, and I'm not always in the mood for it. If someone has a recommendation for fabulous pizza, either by the pie or per slice, fork it over.
henry, it's not any good :(
i guess it's about as good as one of the places that are taking over the city and that you can't really eat decently at, but take the pizza near njtransit in penn station. it beats dino's hands down and it's not even very good.
i'd rather get frozen pizza than eat dino's.
but if you can deal with the delivery or parking hassles, villa victoria is much much better.
I am shocked! I lived in Montclair for 25 years and think Dino's is great; and I think Both Mr. Dinos are fine, the tough guy stuff is even sort of funny..
But the tried and true reason to go to this place is the EGGPLANT PARM -- they know how to do it!!
Alot of people around here seem to like this place...I'm not sure if its out of some sense of town loyalty, or that there's not too many places close by to get a decent slice (except for star tavern, but those awesome bar pies really are in a class of their own). Compared to most pizzerias in the NY metro area, Mr Dino's is below average.
I'm not originally from here, and I like mr. dinos - i love their garlic knots and the pizza is quite tasty...there sauce (for dipping or meatball subs) could use a little bit more seasoning, but I haven't had a bad experience yet!
kids name that runs the place is LOG hes a gymnist..does great toe touches... great ups... hes got a mean foot on the soccer field and a monster bat as a member of the qualtec computers, a softball team out of staten island, NY...
I had been eating dino's for 10 years. Mostly because of convenience (Closest to my home by far). Pizza is ok, but not great. Things have happened over the years at Dino's that irked me, but I am pretty forgiving and have let it slide.
Does anybody remember the "no baby carriage" sign on the Dino's door years ago. This was exactly 10 years ago.
5 years ago, the owner and a fired pizza delivery guy had a cursing followed by punching followed by car chase (yes car chase) fight. My daughter was very frightened.
My final Dino's straw came the other night. Something that has occured every year or so. As a family of 4, I have a family member that likes 1/4 of the pie to be covered in onions. Dino's refuses to do anything less than 1/2. I just dealt with it until I discovered that Nauna's will do whatever you want. No problem whatsoever. I had never had Nauna's pizza until last week. I am sorry I waited. Head and shoulders above Dino's. 10 wasted years of so-so pizza and attitude. Never again will I go to Dino's
The best pizzas in Motclair are Villa Victoria (but delivery sucks) and Soho.
the best pie in town bar none...try a pie with extra sauce.
