All I can say is WOW.
Went there this week for dinner- everyone loved it. We had lobster ravioli, horseradish salmon & asian steak. All fantastic! Service was also very good.
We missed Lotsa Pasta when it left, but this place is better!!
Round Trip now has a web site www.roundtripfare.com come take a look and to complete the round trip there is a link back to baristanet.
Very nice!
The children's lunch menu, however was pretty expensive at $7.95. My toddler's meal should not have been 30% of the check.
The salad with fried goat cheese, candied walnuts, and apples was out of this world though.
With a fantastic outdoor seating area, relaxing atmosphere, and appetizers above average,...I was under enthusiastic about the entree. (My asian skirt steak was classified "fear factor" by my husband.) But the dessert was then again good.
Recommended--but don't have too high expectations.
Terrible. French onion soup was not even hot, nevermind containing about 1 piece of onion. The rest of the food seemed to depend on a lot of salt and/or msg for its flavoring.
My partner and I walked our Boxers (dogs that is )in Anderson Park during the spring time and happened to walk to the train station to let our dogs sit. We sat down at the railroad station and noticed an INCREDIBLELY delicious smell coming from behind. I noticed that there was a menu board. Not knowing that lotsa pasta left. I never dined there. i said we should try it.We took our dogs home and decided what to do for dinner. We said "Hey.. that train place in Upper Montclair". So we went. Once we were there we were seated immediatley. We looked over the menu and being italian i was skepitcal but we decided on the fried Calamari and i had the Chicken Giambotta i forgot what Ivo had. I was VERY impressed. The food was served quickly and was DELICIOUS. The waitstaff was very attentive and polite. Two days later we went back and have gone back several times. This past Saturday we took our friends Jeff & Ed and they were extremely satisfied. We love it...
Went to Round Trip Fare in the new location on Friday night. Not the same ambience as the old location but they still have the wonderful food & excellent service.
We've eaten at the new location three times in the past few weeks. Food has consistently been very good. Of course you can't mimic a historic train station but the real pressed-tin ceiling is pretty cool too.
If you were fans before or never tried it, go visit their new space on Broughton Avenue. Just take Claremont/Bay Ave to the Korean/Presbyterian church, hang a left on Broughton and look for the Pizzeria sign which remains from the former occupants (Turano's) on the left.

Apparently Round Trip Fare is no more.
Their website says they closed as of January 15, 2007. Apparently they could not make a go of it at the new site, which did strike me as rather obscure location, and quite far from the train station. Too bad that fire forced them to relocate.
Considering they probably started the fire that destoyed the train station, I can't feel too sorry for them.
