Just took a leisurely walk with my family through Montclair and stopped at Sweet Potato and Pecan for some take out.
I had their delicious Commish sandwich: Shredded and sauced pork
b-b-q topped with coleslaw on a soft bun. The bun sopped up the extra cole slaw dressing and bbq sauce. It was absolutely wonderful and finger licking. Even my 2 1/2 year old was clamoring for seconds.
This place never disappoints! Yum!

We at here for the first time this weekend (5/19) and were really glad we did. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. We had the beef short ribs (succulent and flavorful) and the jerk chicken and for "sides", had the grilled zucchini (one of our favories), yams (also a favorite), sweet potato fries (yum!) and mac & cheese. We had leftovers for dinner the next night and still weren't done.

We ate here for the 2nd time on Wednesday, May 31. Tonight we had the curried goat, which was tender and flavorful - delicious! I think their grilled zucchini is the best zucchini I have ever had. We also had the baby back ribs, which were good, but we preferred the beef short ribs. Again, lots of leftovers for tomorrow. To top it all off, this place is run by the nicest people.

took some takeout from there last week. awesome food. the man at the counter was friendly and helpful. i did, however, draw dirty looks from the cook in the back the entire time he was cooking my meal. it was only 730pm, and he mae me feel like if i hadn't ordererd he would have been able to go home. otherwise the curried chicken was fantastic and maybe the best greens i have had in montclair.

Great food, amazing staff. Owner was there and he was just so friendly. Gave me so much food and gave me a generous sample of something I told him I was interested in. Very fast service. I reccomend the ribs, and sweet potato fries. Mac and cheese was ok, but I like the very cheesy kind myself.
