I live for Gigi's minestrone soup and French toast loaf. Her other soups are delicious, too, and the tuna and chicken salads are also excellent. Everything looks and smells delicious. I heard she has a wonderful cart now at the Bay Street train station in the morning, too. A friendly and inviting little place.

A hidden gem! Only a handful of tables, but there's always room at this well-priced, high quality establishment.
Breakfast is very, very good. Omelets, french toast, phenomenal home fries all rate high marks. Coffee is among the better to be gotten in town. Everything I'd had there has been good, or very, very good.
Their homemade bake goods display a sure hand. Excellent muffins and a delight called "french toast loaf" that may well hook you.
The small staff are friendly, helpful and competent. They are there to please.
Bay Street Cafe is a very solid, highly recommended addition to Montclair's packed cafe scene.
