Are these policies really making New Jersey a “business friendly” state? Those questions will be answered tonight at Garden State Giveaways, a forum and discussion hosted by NJ Citizen Action, BlueWaveNJ, New Jersey Working Families, and New Jersey Main Street Alliance.

The forum, led by Jon Shure of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities & Jon Whiten of New Jersey Policy Perspective will look into the  record breaking $2.1 billion in taxpayer funded tax grants and credits to 170 projects given by the state of New Jersey over the past three year—an average of $57 million per month.

Montclair’s Cameron Animal Hospital Joins With Applebee’s To Aid Feral Felines

feral cats

Dine at the Totowa Applebee’s on June 25th, and the restaurant will donate 10% of your check to help aid unadoptable and feral felines. The eatery is teaming up with the Cameron Animal Hospital, located on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, to send the cats to a sanctuary in Maryland.

Here’s more on the fundraiser from Lauren Boonstra, Feral Cat Rescue Fund Coordinator:

Close your eyes; picture yourself in paradise, maybe you’d be sitting on a beach on an island with a cold drink, maybe you’d be on a boat fishing on a relaxing lake. Nice, right? For the feral cats here at the Cameron Animal Hospital, paradise is a safe sanctuary in Delmar, MD. Good Shepard Cat Sanctuary provides a safe outdoor space where these cats can roam free and still get optimal care and medical attention.

In most cases, feral cats who find their way into a shelter facility are euthanized due to their inability to adapt to a family setting. Here at the Cameron Animal Hospital, we believe every life deserves a second chance, so we have about 20 feral cats here at the hospital. While their care and medical needs are being met, living in a cage is no life. Continue Reading

35k is the cost to build the website. I believe it's 5k a year to host it. Since it is simply an information site and not interactive with shopping carts and live chat, they really shouldn't be paying more than $100 a year. I pay 8.99 a year and I have as many pages as they do
